This guide works with a completely fresh 64bit (x86_64) wineprefix. Closest I got to a working long-term game was with dxvk. Tested with winetricks quartz, devenum, d3dx9 and dsound in multiple configurations but to no avail. The game will run for a period of time (1-30min) with no issues at all, then it will crash stating something like err:quartz:DSoundRender _SendSampleData WaitForSingleObject() returned 0 If you apply the 1.7-patch you may find an error when starting the game stating an issue with xlive.dll.

Tested in clean 64-bit and 32-bit prefixes with the only difference being that the PS4-controller did not work in the 32-bit prefix. In order to leave the first year, perform winetricks dxvk
